Watching the Bride and Prejudice movie was a very interesting experience for me. I found the movie to be very comical, but at the same time I was surprised that I found it somewhat enjoyable. Before I watched it I thought it was going to be a movie strictly about India and focused around India. I was happy to see that wasn’t the case. I liked the fact they brought together the eastern and western ideas together, that made the movie easier to relate to. In class being introduced to the word, Hybridity made everything seem to come together for me, since I was having trouble coming up with a word to describe it myself. After seeing that movie I am very interested to see what the book will bring.
